World Football Challenge Headed to Las Vegas for First Time
NEW YORK/LOS ANGELES(Monday, May 21, 2012) – Serie A champion Juventus FC, together with four-time Major League Soccer (MLS) champion D.C. United, today announced their participation in the 2012 World Football Challenge. Spain’s La Liga Champion Real Madrid, previously announced participant, has also added a fixture to the schedule and will face Juventus FC in Las Vegas.
Additional clubs confirmed to participate in the World Football Challenge include European powerhouses Chelsea FC, Liverpool FC, and AC Milan, along with MLS sides LA Galaxy, Seattle Sounders FC and Toronto FC, in the event taking place July 18 through August 11.
Juventus FC, winner of 28 Italian Serie A league titles, will visit Washington, D.C. to face D.C. United on Saturday, July 28 at RFK Stadium. Tickets will go on sale to the public today, Monday, May 21 at 10:00 a.m. ET.To purchase tickets, please visit Ticketmaster.com or call 202-587-5000.
