Seattle Sounders FC Midfielder Brad Evans Voted MLS Player of the Week

NEW YORK (Monday, October 22, 2012)– Seattle Sounders FC midfielder Brad Evans was today voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) for Week 32 of the 2012 MLS season.

Evans demonstrated his versatility over the course of two matches for the Sounders last week.

The __ native scored two goals in Seattle’s 3-1 victory over FC Dallas on Sunday night as well as stepped up to bolster a shorthanded Seattle defense in a 0-0 draw against Real Salt Lake earlier in the week.

The honor is Evans’ first MLS Player of the Week award in his career. He is the third Sounders FC player to be voted MLS Player of the Week this season, joining David Estrada (Week 2) and Eddie Johnson (Weeks 22 & 27).

The MLS Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by a panel of journalists from NASR. The group consists of members of print, television, radio and online media. More information and membership information can be found at http://www.soccerreporters.com/.
