Lane and Firchau will then travel south to Charleston for the Carolina Challenge Cup (Chicago Fire, Columbus Crew, D.C. United, and host Charleston Battery), to Orlando for the Disney Pro Soccer Classic (FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo, Sporting Kansas City, Montreal Impact, Toronto FC and Vancouver Whitecaps FC), and eventually to Dallas to deliver the official adidas match ball for the FC Dallas vs. New York Red Bulls game, which will air on NBC Sports Network on March 11 at 3:00 p.m. ET.

The West Coast crew of former MLS defender Brian Dunseth and co-host Drea Avent begin their own adventure on Saturday in Tucson for the Desert Diamond Cup (LA Galaxy, NY Red Bulls & Real Salt Lake), and notable stops on the rest of their journey include San Jose for a USA-Italy viewing party, Portland for a preseason tournament (the host Timbers, Chivas USA, San Jose Earthquakes and Swedish club AIK), Seattle for the Sounders’ CONCACAF Champions League match against Santos, before wrapping up in the Los Angeles area for two matches on the weekend of MLS First Kick (March 10-11): LA Galaxy vs. Real Salt Lake and Chivas USA vs. Houston Dynamo.

The road will provide the setting for a number of soccer-related “detours” that will lean heavily on social media and interaction with fans and players.
