MLS Combine participant Brandon Vincent called into the U.S. National Team January training camp

After participating in the first game of the 2016 MLS Player Combine, pre-signed college senior Brandon Vincent was called into U.S. National Team January training camp in Carson, California. The 2015 MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist and 2015 First Team All-American, signed a contract with MLS earlier this week. The Stanford defender co-captained the Cardinal to the 2015 NCAA Men’s College Cup final where they went on to defeat Clemson 4-0. The California native was dominant in Pac-12 play this season, earning conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and All-Pac-12 First Team honors. Vincent joins Stanford teammate and 2015 MAC Hermann trophy winner, Jordan Morris, at the January camp.

MLS signs college standouts Omar Holness and Fabian Herbers to Generation adidas contracts

MLS has added two new players to the 2016 Generation adidas class. North Carolina University and Jamaican National Team midfielder, Omar Holness, made a total of 17 appearances for University of North Carolina last year and earned a 2015 All-ACC Second Team honor. Fabian Herbers, a Creighton University junior, made a name for himself in 2015, finishing as the top leading point scorer with 15 goals and third-best 17 assists nationwide. Due to his offensive exploits, Herbers was selected to the NSCAA All-America First Team and claimed the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row.
